 Shihoko FunakuroShihoko Funakuro has worked almost two decades in international fashion and style. Until recently a native of fashion-mecca Japan, she came to the Comox Valley to escape the “crazy busy” city of Osaka. This master of the trade specializes in cutting and styling hair for special occasions, and is an accomplished make-up artist. She has an incredible attention to detail and flawless technique, so bring in a picture and your ideas and prepare to be amazed! Shihoko is very excited to be here, and is enjoying learning about Canadian culture while sharing her skills with the stylists at Roots. In addition to being kind, attentive and having a great sense of humour, Shihoko brings a fresh perspective and a welcome diversity to both our salon and the community. Welcome!
