Shawna is passionate about style! A combination of art, science, and interacting with people is what makes this her “ultimate dream profession”. Over the last decade, Shawna has chosen to focus on creating trends instead of following the pack. Her aim is to enhance each client’s own personal style with an individual yet manageable look. She has an extensive background in photo shoots, weddings, graduation looks, costume styling, and everyday cutting and colouring techniques.

This native of Crow’s Nest, AB was drawn here by the mystic Island-vibe and the chance to join the style family at Roots. In her other life, Shawna can be found on tour with various musical acts. A recent highlight was styling alt-country singer Carolyn Mark’s hair — while she performed on-stage! When not hanging backstage with the bands, this roller-blading free spirit spends time with friends and family, or does “an array of domestic activities”!
