Mel Dorey

Hailing from the prairies in Alberta, Mel Dorey came to the island for artistic inspiration and found it at Roots the Salon.

Mel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alberta, as well as her certification as a fully qualified hair stylist. This talented artist has developed skills and inspiration to always consider her clients' individual needs when designing their style. Mel strives to continue learning, taking advanced seminars and classes regularly to keep inspired.

Mel connects easily with her clients, being the social butterfly that she is! She is always entertaining with her stories, quick with a smile, and full of positive energy. Aside from keeping up on her hair and fashion education, Mel's interests lie in art history, painting, java conversations, rollerblading and travel.
