Owners Ida Marie and Michael Huska started Roots the Salon, with the intent of bringing their creative vision to the Comox Valley. Their vision of the ideal salon evolved out of 30 years of combined experience in some of Victoria’s top salons.

Roots the Salon embodies this vision, as a fun yet professional setting for some of the top creative stylists on Vancouver Island. Above all, the goal is that clients have a memorable and unique experience that custom-fits their needs and lifestyle.

The Huskas are also dedicated to providing ongoing professional training and education to their Creative Team. Both Ida Marie and Michael are recognized as experts in the field, and Ida Marie currently sits on boards with both Vancouver Island University and the Labour Regulations Council.
